Blooming Spring Wedding

To be chosen to photograph Kyla & Tony's wedding, was such an honor and documenting it in the peak season of Bluebonnets in Texas made everything much more special. The Texas Wedding Venue Two Wishes Ranch had a beautiful bluebonnet field where we took Kyla's Bridal Portraits. In that same area, right behind the bridal suite barn, the soon to be newlyweds had their first look and private vows reading, only to themselves, their parents and kids.

Kyla & Tony are both Army veterans that met each other while they were stationed in Germany, after lots of tricky moments but also love and serenity in the midst of chaos, these two lived through a long distance relationship to then start a family when they sweet boy was born. Life took its course and on a delightful spring day in Texas, they finally had the chance to tie the know and confirm to the law what their hearts knew all along: They were made for each other.

A sweet fact, their first dance song was Lucky by Colbie Caillat & Jason Mraz, and I mean, knowing their story, it just makes so so much sense, and now I can't listen to that song without thinking about them - plus I definitely shed a tear or two during their dance.

Now that I'm a Colorado Photographer and even though I LOVE our mountains and nature here, I can't deny that the Bluebonnets in Texas are something special too. However, now I can't wait to go check all the wildflowers in Crested Butte, CO next summer! I already know they'll hold a special place in my heart, just like the bluebonnets and Kyla & Tony's wedding
